We provide custom guitar refinishing services. All of our work is performed by hand to ensure your complete satisfaction. The manual labor takes approximate 30 hours. A complete refinish takes 8-12 weeks, depending on the work to be done and our queue. Also included in the timeline is a 30 day curing period and shipping to and from your location.

At Lapidary Dreams, your satisfaction is our number one priority. You will be given a link to access an online web album where you will be able to see pictures of your guitar's refinish throughout the process. When your refinish is complete, this "refinish diary" will be sent to you on a DVD with your guitar.

For those of you concerned about shipping your Gibson guitar, we have shipped dozens of them. It can be done safely as long as you loosen the strings and pack it properly. If you are not sure how to pack your guitar for shipping, please contact us and we will provide you detailed instructions.

What is "Faux" Binding?

Many people call to ask what this "faux" binding is, so we thought we'd show you:

Faux binding can only be added to guitars capped with a lighter timber than the body. This is because the faux binding is created by keeping the cap sides clear of any stain or colorants.
